Two days after his wedding to Hilaria Thomas, less than a week after his most recent alleged violent scuffle with the paparazzi, and the day he officially quit Twitter, Alec Baldwin pops up on the August cover of Vanity Fair.

He gushes about Hilaria and how he feared never meeting another woman quite like her, "so I decided I would get married," he said.

Known as one of Hollywood's most fiery and dramatic figures, he doesn't disappoint when chatting with VF writer Todd S. Purdum. Within minutes he tells the magazine how his yoga instructor wife ushered in a "no sugar diet" along with an anti-alcohol lifestyle — a change for the once "mildly" alcoholic star.

"Of course I miss it, " he admits, and recounts a time he was pulled over by a cop when he was under the influence. “I don’t remember how high I was and what I was high on... but my father told us if we drank excessively or we took drugs or were ever caught with illegal drugs, he was going to kick our a**."

Speaking of getting physical, the 30 Rock star wasted no time expressing violent disdain for the those he thinks have wronged him.

For example, his ex-wife's lawyer, whom he fantasized murdering with a baseball bat, or the infamous TMZ producer who released the voice message of Alec calling his daughter Ireland a "rude, thoughtless, little pig."

"I wanted to stick a knife in him and gut him and kill him, and I wanted him to die breathing his last breath looking into my eyes," he says. But in a flash of wisdom he adds that one must "let that go... Enough time — I mean, it does heal wounds.”

Those mourning their weekly dose of Baldwin via 30 Rock can rest easy — Alec is thinking politics.

"I think I do want to go into politics. I really, really do,” he says. “And I don’t know if I will... If I want to run, run for what? You have to stop and ask a lot of whys. Run for the glory? Run to complete some missing piece of myself? I can keep doing what I’m doing for a living now and be perfectly happy.”
