Aly Raisman Plans On Bringing Her 'Dancing' Experience To The Gym

Aly Raisman may have placed fourth on Dancing with the Stars, but her journey throughout the show was by far the most impressive, evolving from a shy beginner to a superstar on the dancefloor who wasn't afraid to shake it. With her DWTS days behind her, the Boston native is heading back to the gym, but she plans on taking some of her fancy footwork with her.

"I’m already thinking of floor music," she says. "I loved Jacoby and Karina’s Argentine Tango music. And I also (want to bring) more sass to the floor, not only focusing on tumbling but also the dance. I feel like I can do any style now but I also like the intensity of the Argentine Tango so maybe I’ll do something like that on my floor routine."

Despite being a gold medal gymnast, Aly says her Dancing experience holds a special place in her heart.

"This is the most confident I’ve ever been in my life," she gushes. "It’s been an amazing experience. It’s been so much fun. I love it."

Of the many dances she completed on the show, the 19-year-old definitely has her favorites.

"I loved the rumba because for me it was really mature," she confesses. "I definitely would not have been able to do that at the beginning of the competition so I was really happy. I never expected to be able to give that much emotion so I liked it. And it also felt good to try to be graceful because I’m used to being so powerful in gymnastics."
