According to TMZ, the struggling former child star is currently in a Los Angeles hospital on a 5150 hold, an involuntary hospitalization for mental evaluation that can last up to 72 hours.
As OKMagazine.com has reported, Britney Spears was hospitalized under the same law in January 2008.

TMZ cites law enforcement sources as saying Amanda was admitted after firefighters rushed to put out a small fire she had set in the driveway of a home in Thousand Oaks, Calif., yesterday evening.

After the blaze was out, firefighters reportedly called the sheriff's department to investigate the incident.
