American Idol fans likely remember Pia Toscano, the season 10 cast-off who's elimination left Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson shocked. Indeed, the New York songbird seemed to stun week after week so her dismissal was unexpected.
Well, things seem to be looking up for Pia. Not only does she have her first album dropping this year, but she's also set to star in her first film, Grace Unplugged, about a rising singer.
Last week at Hollywood's Viper Room, musician Jared Lee pulled the brunette beauty onstage for a quickie cover of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time."
While onstage, Jared told the audience he met the singer when she was 17 in New York City and the two began to collaborate soon afterward.
"Anyone that watched American Idol I think would agree that Pia should have won the whole thing," he said. "Not to take anything away from anyone else."
