Last night we were in for a real treat when James Durbin, fourth place winner from last season, performed on American Idol. After the show he chatted with reporters and said he didn't really have a lot of nerves going into it.
OK! NEWS: AMERICAN IDOL RECAP DEANDRE BRACKENSICK IS ELIMINATED AND JENNIFER LOPEZ TRIED TO SAVE HIM! "I was just so comfy and ready to be back on the stage," he told reporters. "I mean, we have a show tonight at the Viper Room so its kind of like sound check. It's like warm up." When asked about the best part about being married, the newlywed called over his wife with whom he tied the knot on New Year's Eve. Heidi Lowe responded, "Just always having someone by your side that has your back, that’s what I think. You know they have your back." And how about their biggest pet peeves as husband and wife? James responded, "Smelly feet. My smelly feet." Not missing a beat, Heidi jokingly added, "Smelly feet and washing other parts! You need to wash more. I am just kidding. If he doesn't take out the trash, I get really angry." Household chores aside, the svelte James summed up his recent weight loss of 20 pounds with a simple explanation. "I just haven't been eating s**t. I can swear now." Indicating he "gained like 30 pounds on Idol" between all of the Kraft services food, tootsie rolls and rice krispie treats, he recalled, "It was just awful." OK! NEWS: AMERICAN IDOL RECAP — HEEJUN JAN IS ELIMINATED AND SCOTTY MCCREERY RETURNS TO IDOL STAGE! Although he's not working out right now, he explained, "I traded the working out for getting tattooed." Showing reporters a new tattoo on his neck of Heidi's lips, he dished, "The love of my life." Considering their two-year-old son likes little fake tatoos, James covered him in five sheets of fake tatoos. He described, "I did like little sparrows here and like an old pirate sailbot here and then like dragons and spiders." Awww. Reporting by Gena Oppenheim
