Ben Affleck has admitted that he is still in touch with ex-fiancee Jennifer Lopez and that they trade emails from time to time.

The Argo star got together with his wife a short time after his relationship ended with JLo and they were married in June 2005. Ben and Jennifer are now happily raising three children; Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.
But eight years after his high-profile relationship with Jenny From The Block imploded and the embarrassment of box-office flop Gigli, Ben told The Hollywood Reporter that he is still on good terms with JLo.

"We don't have the kind of relationship where she relies on me for advice," Ben shared. "But we do have the kind of relationship where there'll be an email saying, 'Oh, your movie looks great.'"
"I remember when she got American Idol, I said, 'This was really smart. Good luck.' I touch base. I respect her. I like her. She's put up with some stuff that was unfair in her life, and I'm really pleased to see her successful."

Ben has now put the scandal behind him and has got his career back on track and is not only a hot actor but a respected filmmaker too.

However, the 40-year-old reveals that there was another time when his life was getting out of control.
"I went to rehab for being 29 and partying too much and not having a lot of boundaries" he shared.
And now a happy family man, Ben says he would do anything to protect his family and has collected a few guns after a stalker, who allegedly trying to make contact with his wife, was sent to a psychiatric hospital two years ago.

"It gave me a stronger sense of feeling protective about my family," he said about the bad side of being in the public eye. "There's a lot of crazy, weird people out there. It's an ugly world."
