Since going public with SNL producer Lindsay Shookus, a month ago, Ben Affleck is learning that adage the hard way.
A source says his kids with Jennifer Garner – Violet, 11, Serrafina, 8, and Samuel , 5, aren’t exactly embracing the new romance.
“ They are definitely on Team Mom,” the insider says “Violet and Sera are the most vocal about it.”
Ben is trying to take it in his stride, but he’s in a tough position. “ It hurts when they say they wont be nice to his girlfriend,” says the source.

“ He’d never compromise his relationship with his kids, but he feels entitled to his own happiness.”
Jen may have reason for concern, as the recently rehabbed actor was seen buying alcohol with Lindsay in July.
“Jen’s warned Ben he should dial things back for the kids” says the source.
