Ben Harper filed for a divorce from wife Laura Dern on Friday, according to new reports.
The 40-year old musician cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for his divorce request, TMZ reports.
Ben asked the judge not to grant Laura, 43, spousal support and claimed that they have been separated since January.
Oddly, sources close to the pair told TMZ that they have seen the Jurassic Park actress and Ben together since the beginning of the year acting as any normal couple would.

Ben and Laura have two children together, Ellery and Jaya, and have been married since December of 2005.
Ben, who won two Grammy awards in 2005, has two other children from a previous marriage.
