It was already getting a ton of pre-Oscar buzz but it looks like A Star is Born will need to find itself a new star.

Beyoncé confirmed to E! News that she'll no longer star in the remake."I was looking forward to the production of A Star Is Born and the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood. For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together."

Now that the Grammy winner's not in the picture, a new leading lady needs to be cast. Clint explained, "We've talked to several people, and we probably won't address that one till next year."
Although he commented that Bey was "great," it seems their schedules didn't seem to jive. It looks like the movie has pretty big shoes to fill -- previous versions included starlets Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand in the leading roles!
