NEWS'The Big Bang Theory' Star Mayim Bialik Injured in Car Accident

The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik was injured in a car accident today when a vehicle with three tourists from Chile crashed into her white Volvo at a major Hollywood intersection, LAPD Sgt. Monte Houze tells People.

"From what I was told, there was a lot of blood at the scene," Sgt. Houze said. Mayim suffered "a severe injury to her left thumb" and was taken to a local hospital.

A source told another site, "her finger was almost completely severed ... it was just hanging there."
The 36-year-old is best kown for her role on the 90's hit show Blossom and you can currently see her on CBS's The Big Bang Theory.
