Book Recommendation Wednesday: Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Newest Story Collection
Are you there, Joseph Gordon-Levitt? It's me, Kaitlin. I love everything about you, including your sweet new book, The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories: Volume 3.
As you may know, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is more than just an actor, a nice guy, an excellent lip-syncer, and my aesthetic ideal. He also runs a online creative community, hitRECORD. hitRECORD is where artists, writer, musicians, filmmakers and other creative types can upload their work, and then remix and edit each other's work into one hippie love art paradise.

The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories: Volume 3 is a collection of micro stories which contributors told through words and art, and which was then curated by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The book is indeed tiny: It's only 4 inches by 6 inches big, and has a sweet, old-timey cover. The spreads inside have a quiet, lovely innocence that reminded me of Shel Silverstein's books.
The little book would be a sweet holiday gift for any age. The stories are simple and imaginative enough for a child, but would also make thoughtful prompts for a writer or any other creative. It's dreamy stuff, and it would be even lovelier if JGL himself read it to me. Just sayin'.
The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories: Volume 3 is out now and available here.
