Actor Corey Haim was found dead in his California apartment early this morning. Law enforcement sources say he died of a drug overdose. He was 38.
TMZ reports that law officials said Corey, who had a long history of substance abuse, died of a drug overdose.
Corey was living with his mother in her apartment and she was the one who called 911.
Police were called to St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, Calif., to investigate, and the LAPD have reportedly opened a death investigation.
Cause of death is still unknown, but law enforcement told TMZ it was “possibly accidental.”
Corey co-starred in several films with Corey Feldman — including The Lost Boys, which launched his celebrity status in the ’80s. Haim and Feldman were known as “The Two Coreys.”
He will be greatly missed.
