Britney Spears "Ready" For Conservatorship To End, Wants Control Of Her Life Again

Britney Spears was placed under a conservatorship nearly four years ago but with her career and personal life back on track, the 30-year-old singer is ready take hold of the reins of her life once again.

The Hit Me Baby One More Time starlet met with the judge handling her case last week to talk about how she is doing being thrust back into the public eye on The X Factor.

RadarOnline reports that the mother-of-two doesn't understand why the conservatorship is still in place and wants to be free of it.

"Britney told Judge Reva Goetz in her chambers with her court appointed attorney, Sam Ingham present, that she is ready for the conservatorship to end," a source told the site.

"Britney said she doesn't understand why it's still in place and expressed her belief that she has got to be the only person under a conservatorship that has managed to land a $15 million work contract.

"Britney wants the conservatorship to end, it's fine with her if it stays in place as far as her business and professional life, but she wants to call the shots when it comes to her personal life.

"She pointed out to the judge that she will be on live television weekly this fall once X Factor premiers on Fox in September and the tremendous progress she has made since the conservatorship was put in place almost four years ago.

But Britney's pleas could fall on deaf ears as it's reported that the conservatorship may not come to an end any time soon.

"Britney's team of doctors just don't feel that she is ready for the conservatorship to end," the insider added.

"They have specific concerns related to her mental health and aren't ready to tell the judge that Britney is ready to go it alone just yet. Judge Goetz is the only person that can end the conservatorship."

Britney is schedule to meet with the judge again in the next 60 days.

The Toxic starlet got engaged to Hollywood agent Jason Trawick last December and has two children with ex-husband Kevin Federline; Sean Preston, six, and Jayden James, five.
