Carey Mulligan's star is rising, with icons like Anna Wintour calling her the next big thing and award noms for An Education — earning her the "It girl" title. And she doesn't mind! " 'It' girl is such a weird term," she told reporters at last night's National Board of Review of Motion Pictures gala in NYC. "It's good. It's a buzz thing. It makes people want to see the film. But 'It girl' implies parties, and I'm too much a home person."
