Carrie Underwood is the original small town girl with a big dream. Prior to her daring step to audition for American Idol, Carrie had not even traveled outside her state of Oklahoma. In 2004, she was the winner of American Idol and became a Grammy winner in just two short years. Carrie recently married hockey player Mike Fisher. Carrie has been named the first female Academy of Country Music’s Entertainer of the year for two consecutive years.
