Charles Barkley made his third time hosting Saturday Night Live memorable after the opening monologue alone. The NBA star commented on his partnership with Weight Watchers.

While chatting with TNT announcers this past Thursday during the Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks game, Charles was caught on camera calling Weight Watchers a scam.

"I thought this was the greatest scam going — getting paid to watch sports," he said (via The New York Times). "This Weight Watchers thing is a bigger scam."

And Charles continued with the Weight Watchers jokes during his hosting gig on SNL. He announced that he lost 38 pounds by teaming up with Weight Watchers.

"The point is, Weight Watchers worked for me. I feel great," he said. "Except for one thing. I am so hungry. I am starving."

But Weight Watchers didn't hold the comments against him.

“We love Charles for the same reason everyone loves Charles: He’s unfiltered," Weight Watchers said in a statement. "We are thrilled that he is having great success and inspiring millions of men to join him. We agree that being a spokesman for Weight Watchers is a pretty great gig.”

And Charles isn't taking anything back that he said.

“I meant what I said. The fact that I’m dropping pounds, getting healthier and getting paid at the same time is my definition of a great scam," he said. "The only problem is I’m going to have to use some of the money to buy a new wardrobe.”
