Christina Aguilera & Stevie Wonder Help Remember Etta James at Funeral Service

The late Etta James’ life was honored on Saturday at the iconic singer’s funeral at the Greater Bethany Community Church in Gardena, Calif., where the likes of Christina Aguilera and Stevie Wonder took the stage to remember the inspirational artist.

“Thank you Etta James for the inspiration. I love you,” Christina praised Etta after singing a soulful rendition of the classic “At Last,” explaining that the song is, “the one that cut right to my soul and spoke to me.”

After Stevie Wonder also sang a tribute to Etta, E! Online reports that Reverend Al Sharpton read a letter from President Barack Obama aloud thanking the L.A. native for her “legendary voice and her contributions to our nation's musical heritage."
