Coroner Rules Whitney Houston's Death An Accident

Well, the coroner has spoken and by that we mean and official cause of Whitney Houston's death has been ruled an accidental drowning.

According to the L.A. County Coroner, the Grammy winner also had cocaine in her system at the time of death. Heart disease and drug use were determined as contributing factors in her death.

That said, GossipCop reports the coroner's report indicates the official cause of death as "drowning and effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use."
Ultimately her death was ruled an "accident." This prompted Whitney's sister-in-law, Patricia Houston, to issue a statement on behalf of the family: "We are saddened to learn of the toxicology results, although we are glad to now have closure."
