Courteney Cox may be separated from David Arquette, but that didn't stop her from supporting the father of her daughter on Dancing With the Stars last night — and she was impressed by his footwork!

Courteney and her daughter Coco cheered on David from the audience of last night's premiere episode of Dancing With the Stars.
OK! chatted with the mother and daughter during a break in the show and both Courtney and Coco's pride for David was on full displayed.
"Wasn’t he great?!?" Courtney exclaimed to OK!.
And he really was. David and his partner Kym Johnson scored an 18 on his first dance!
The actor was glowing after his performance as he looked over at his family in the audience. He said of Coco, "It’s just so beautiful to see her and she’s the light of my life, and it’s so good to see her."

After the show was over, David spoke to reporters about what it meant to him to have his family there watching.
"It was great, I finished dancing and looked over at my daughter and she was just cheering and dancing, it was everything to me," he said. "That is worth just doing it in general, just seeing her face."
So did having his estranged wife Courteney in the audience make him or less nervous?

"No, we just are great friends and huge supporters," he explained. "She just directed an episode of Cougar Town and we met together and she went over shots with me and talked with her about what would be interesting, and what I thought would be great shots. We work together and we’re great friends, we’re co-parents, we’re connected."
