There were no tears, only smiles for Patti LaBelle after she was eliminated from week six of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars competition.
On Monday night following her exit, the 70-year-old legendary singer said she was thrilled with the opportunity to compete on the dancing competition and thanked her fans for supporting her this far.
OKMagazine.com got the chance to catch up with Patti and she revealed her favorite moment from participating in DWTS as well as who she hopes will walk away with the Mirror Ball Trophy.
OK!: What have you taken away from your experience on Dancing With The Stars?
LaBelle: "This has been a life lesson for me. I’ve spent eight wonderful weeks here and I am so excited to be going home! I had to leave or Rob Herjavec, it was down to two couples, so if he would have left then I would be here one more week, but I’m not. I am happy to be walking away from the competition with a smile on my face."
OK!: What was your favorite dance routine that you learned this season?
LaBelle: "My salsa routine to 'In Da Club!'"
OK!: Who do you want to see win the competition?
LaBelle: "I’d like to see Rumer Willis win! I just love her. She is so talented and so underrated. She is going to win and hopefully give me some of that silver, maybe split the trophy with me!"
Tune into Dancing with the Stars on Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC!
