Fans of the late Whitney Houston will have to wait until Sunday for Oprah Winfrey's sit-down with Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina, but Dionne Warwick appeared on Good Morning America this morning to talk about the last conversation she had with her cousin.
The five-time Grammy winner revealed that she had spoken to Whitney the day she died.

"I spoke with her that morning," Dionne told Robin Roberts. Whitney had wanted to make sure that Dionne was attending Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy party that evening.
"She said, ‘You’re here, aren’t you? You’re coming to the party, aren’t you?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I’m going to be there,’ and she said, ‘Thank you, I want you to be here. You’ve got to be here for me.’”
Whitney and Dionne performed "That's What Friends Are For" at the 2011 Pre-Grammy Gala, and Whitney was scheduled to sing that evening.

Tragically, Whitney was found dead in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel just hours before the party; Dionne said Whitney was "the little girl I never had" and described her death as surreal.
“She was so up and ready and happy. She had everything in the world to live for."
Dionne also shared that the family, including Bobbi Kristina and Whitney's mother Cissy, are coping.
“That’s the one thing I love about my family. We are family,” Dionne stated.
The episode of Oprah's Next Chapter featuring the interview with Whitney's brother Gary, sister-in-law Patricia and Bobbi Kristina airs Sunday at 9 p.m. on OWN.
