Dishing with Denise...

The second season of Denise Richards reality show premiered Sunday. I didn’t watch, but I did catch up with her earlier that day while she was watching her kids decorate denim 77 kids by american eagle jeans at the Time for Heroes event to benefit the Elisabeth Glasier AIDS Foundation.
As her daughter Sam swirled paint circles of various colors on her jeans, Denise told me she lets the kids be creative and allows them to choose their outfits each day. She said both girls have a ‘very girly style’ and, “I let them wear whatever they want because it’s the only age they can get away with it.” She admits, “A lot of times they don’t match, and what they’re wearing doesn’t go together, but I don’t care, I let them wear what they want and be creative that way as long as it’s appropriate, which so far it has been. “
Although both artistic, Denise says when they grow up, “Lola wants to be a ballerina and Sammy wants to be a veterinarian.”
Denise was recently photographed looking cordial with her ex’s new wife and said, “We’re all in a much better place right now” although don’t expect to see them (Brooke and Charlie Sheen) on the show.
What you will see…
“This season is really about moving forward and taking risks,” she says, adding, “Last season was about getting past difficult times but this season is a lot of behind the scenes from my time on ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ “

Denise also says, “My dad’s on the show and he’s starting to date a little bit and that will be on the show. He hasn’t dated since the 1970s.”
When asked if she gave her dad advice on dating she says, “Yes! I told him things are a lot different now than in Illinois when he met my mother a long time ago. I explained that things are different in Los Angeles in 2009.” Indeed.
