Paul Walker's life was cut tragically short on Saturday afternoon after being involved in a fatal car crash, but the actor's warm heart and spirit will live on through Reach Out Worldwide, a non-profit he started in 2010 to organize a network of professional first responders to aid disaster-ridden areas.

It was after participating in a relief effort to help Haitian earthquake victims that Paul got the idea to form ROWW, bringing in friends to help him get the organization off the ground. A quiet, but hands-on, philanthropist, Paul was more of a doer than boaster of his personal charitable endeavors. In fact, a big incentive for him to become the face of Davidoff Cool Water in 2011 was the company's offer to make a contribution to one of his favorite charities.

"They were like, we think you're good for the product because of your love for the ocean and marine biology and  you've been doing the charitable stuff and the Great White Shark research, and we want to make a donation to the Surfrider Foundation or Heal the Bay," Paul told me in an interview about the campaign. "So then I'm going, maybe this isn't so bad! It was a good experience. A few years ago if you had asked me to do this I don't think I would have been comfortable enough in my own skin to do it."
