As Drew Barrymore gears up for her Sept. 14 talk show premiere, a source tells OK! she’s counting on her famous friends to bring in more viewers.

“It’s been a stressful summer because Drew really wants this show to be a hit. But after a bit of rearranging — and some help from her A-list pals — she’s managed to pull things together,” spills the source.

Since the star, 45, won’t be able to have a live studio audience, she’s been doing at-home segments centered on things like health and cooking — but she expects her guest interviews to help her stand out from the competition.

“Drew appreciates everyone’s efforts,” says the source, “and is keeping her fingers crossed.”
