Lovebirds Drew Barrymore and Justin Long are ready to take their relationship to the next level.
No, wedding bells aren't ringing just yet, but there will be some barking.
The two, who are coming up on their one-year anniversary, have plans to add a little pooch to their home, OK! has learned. But they do have some specifics on what kind of mutt they want to take in.
"They don’t want a bratty little beast of a dog," a friend of Drew tells OK!. "They want a mix of a yellow Lab retriever and German shepherd, a mutt that they can rescue."

The addition of a dog is just the latest in a sign of serious commitment for the couple. Drew, 33, gushed to Oprah Winfrey about her beau on the talk show queen's chatfest, saying, "the relationship is great."
As for Justin? The 29-year-old called his gal "beautiful and funny" and "the most compassionate person I have ever met.”
