“She really loved Earl and misses him and saw him as a wonderful paternal figure in her life, since she wasn’t always that close to her own father,” the source says. “Hearing his voice actually made her cry.”

Elin may also have been upset over a Twitter post by Jim Carrey, which said: “No wife is blind enough to miss that much infidelity” and mentioning Elin by name.

He later wrote that he did not condone infidelity.
