Ellen Pompeo Says Kissing Patrick Dempsey on 'Grey's Anatomy' Is "Gross"

Patrick Dempsey may be one of the hottest men on TV, but his Grey's Anatomy co-star and good friend Ellen Pompeo says kissing him on set is kind of awkward. 

"It’s a horrible thing. It's not easy. It’s gross," Ellen told Chelsea Handler on Chelsea Lately last night about making out with co-stars.

"It must get easier with the same person, since you’ve been having sex with Patrick for a long time," Chelsea remarked.

"Yes, it does get easier," Ellen added. "We are literally like brother and sister, so it does get awkward cause we’ve been together sooo long!"  

Then Chelsea began to wonder whether Ellen and Patrick kiss with their "mouths open," something Ellen was quick to confirm.  "No, we don’t use tongue. But you kind of have to open your mouth a little bit to make it look real and sell it," she admitted. "We wouldn’t have these people watching the show for so long!"   OK!
