A day of whale watching nearly turned into a disaster for Kelly Rowland and her group of friends!
The singer and her crew set sail on a private trip from Provincetown, Massachusetts, on Friday, July 19, reports Wicked Local. At first, everyone was having a great time, but the outing suddenly went all Gilligan's Island after winds picked up and waves tossed about their boat in the increasingly hazy weather.

Eventually, the group was pushed northward to the Stellwagen National Marine Sanctuary area.
Luckily, rather than getting shipwrecked on a deserted island, Kelly and the others were able to get in touch with the Coast Guard, who then escorted their boat back to Provincetown.

"All were wet and tired…but otherwise unharmed," reports Wicked Local.
