Gabe Saporta & Erin Fetherston: "We're That Annoying Couple That Makes Out in the Restaurant"

Cobra Starship lead singer Gabe Saporta couldn’t be any happier with his ultra-girly fashion designer girlfriend Erin Fetherston, and while her tastes have rubbed off on the rocker in some ways, one thing it hasn’t yet changed is his style.
OK! NEWS: GABE SAPORTA — LEIGHTON'S REALLY F-ING COOL
“I’m a little grimy,” Gabe explained OK! at the Music Unites In Tune music series Wednesday night in NYC. “She’s like really refined and her bangs are perfect and her clothes are like really pretty and girly and they look like fairy tales. And I’m just kind of like, I’m not super dirty, but compared to her...”
Not that she hasn’t tried to clean up her man.
“She helped me put an outfit together once and she’s like ‘oh my god, it’s so hard to dress boys!’ ” said Gabe who performed at the Music Unites event to benefit music education, and is currently recording his fourth album with Cobra Starship.
While he’s happy keeping his grimy look, that doesn’t mean he can’t bring out the charm when the time calls for it.
“Yesterday I cleaned up nice though didn’t I? I put on a suit,” said Gabe referring to Carnegie Hall's 120th Anniversary Celebration Tuesday night, which he and Erin attended together where they gushed to OK! about living together.
“We just have a DVD player,” Gabe told OK!. “We found all Erin’s old DVD’s when she was a kid and they’re all –”
“Faerie Tale Theatre,” Erin said, finishing his sentence. “I had to tell Gabe about Faerie Tale Theatre, which I totally grew up on in the '80s when I was a kid. That’s what we watch.”

Along with '80s TV shows, the couple have also found a love of Broadway. “I took her to see Mary Poppins,” Gabe says. “That was really cute, because I had never seen Mary Poppins and she’s like making references to it.”
The couple, who were first spotted together “making out like teenagers” at a Duran Duran concert in March, admit that wasn’t the first time they’ve showed off some PDA.
“We’re that annoying couple that makes out in the restaurant,” Gabe tells OK!. “I mean we’re not like completely making out all over the place, we’re just like cuddly and that’s really annoying. I know that it’s kind of a double standard because I get annoyed when I see people doing that, but sometimes you can’t help it. It’s the beginning stages right now, so I should be free to do that if I want to. It’s a free country.”
Touche! Ah, to be young and in love.
