George Lopez Takes Credit for NBC Shake-Ups

He might've only been on the air as a late-night host for six weeks (with a three-week break) but already George Lopez is taking credit for the scheduling changes over at NBC. "I told you I was gonna shake up late night!" crowed George during his opening monologue on Lopez Tonight on Monday.
He opened his monologue with gratitude for the stability 2010 has already brought him.
"It's already a good year for me; I'm still on the same network, in the same time spot!" he joked, adding, "What the hell is going on over there at NBC? What does NBC stand for, 'Nobody backs Conan?' That's because he has red hair."
If you ask us, it's not cool to mock the famously flame-haired Conan O'Brien just for his red locks, considering he's got real problems to deal with: Conan might be moving with The Tonight Show back to 12:05 a.m. while Jay Leno moves his primetime show to 11:35 p.m. amid low ratings.
"Who would've imagined that the Mexican talk show host would have the most job security?" continued George, whose show airs on TBS. "I'm not going nowhere, I'm here every night. I'm not going nowhere, same channel, same time."
