Gerard Butler Put Through His Paparazzi Paces

Gerard Butler is finding out just how tricky it can be to have a famous face -- especially when Fashion Week and the VMA afterparties combine in NYC: The actor got caught up in the massive crowds on 10th Ave. in the early morning hours as clubs Avenue and 1Oak were clearing out, and suffered the consequences.

"It was crazy last night," Gerard was overheard saying today at Rebecca Minkoff's show. "I was being chased by paparazzi and I got into a car to go home and then I was like, 'This is the wrong car!' "

Gerard had nothing to fear, however, as the man behind the wheel was very accommodating of his situation.

"The driver was great. He just drove me down the block and my car came and met us and I switched," explained Gerard. "It was like a military operation!"
