After taking a break from broadcast journalism and debuting her own talk show, Katie Couric is back at it again. Yahoo announced that it is expanding its news coverage to include a cast of global correspondents that will report on live events around the world and guess what? Katie will be joining the team as a global anchor!

We are definitely excited to see Katie back reporting the news, and so is she! Katie said in the press release, "It's very exciting to be a part of a leading company at the intersection of content and technology,” and that "joining Yahoo offers a tremendous opportunity to reach people all around the world in the way that they're using and consuming media today." We can't wait to see this new program in action.

You'll have to wait until 2014 for this project to start, but in the meantime, Katie will continue working on her daytime talk show Katie. Looks like she has a busy year ahead!
