Glee & American Idol Win Big at 2011 Creative Arts Emmy Awards

Leading up the 2011 Emmy Awards next Sunday, it was a big night for television on Saturday as series such as Glee, Boardwalk Empire and American Idol took home honors at the 2011 Creative Arts Emmy Awards at Nokia Theater in L.A.
FOX’s Glee won for Best Casting in a Comedy Series, while Gwyneth Paltrow scored a nod for Guest Actress in a Comedy Series after appearing on the hit show.

Social Network star Justin Timberlake won Guest Actor In A Comedy for his stint on Saturday Night Live, which also got a nod for Makeup for Multi-Camera Series or Special.
But, HBO turned out to be the biggest winner of the evening with fifteen awards, including Casting in a Drama Series for Boardwalk Empire.

When it came to reality TV, Survivor host Jeff Probst won Reality Host for the fourth year in a row, although American Idol, Dancing with the Stars or So You Think You Can Dance didn’t go home empty handed.

The recent finale of American Idol, with new judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, scored Sound Mixing for a Variety or Music Series or Special and Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control for Series.
