And host Ricky Gervais wasn't too shabby himself! The British comedian kept his composure and didn't go too overboard with the jokes, although we're sure Kim Kardashian and Justin Bieber wouldn't agree.
Some of the most memorable moments were Michelle Williams' win and touching acceptance speech for Best Actress in a Motion Picture: Comedy or Musical for My Week with Marilyn, as well as Peter Dinklage's reaction to his win for Game of Thrones and Meryl Streep's shock when she walked away with Best Actress in a Motion Picture: Drama over her dear friend, The Help star Viola Davis. And did we mention, George Clooney took the Best Actor in a Motion Picture: Drama award home over buddy Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Gosling and Michael Fassbender?
