Malkovich plays Buck, a mentalist whose glory days are over, though he seems to be one of a few who doesn’t realize it. Colin Hanks is the loyal assistant who still believes in him. Buck is a perfectly flawed character and hilarious, and Tom makes a few great cameos as Colin’s dad — the resemblance is uncanny.
