Gwyneth Paltrow has learned a very important lesson from her previous relationships with Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck — keep your private life private.

Before marrying her current husband of seven years, Chris Martin, in 2003, Gwyneth dated Brad and Ben.
Gwyneth told E! (via PopEater) that she's become more guarded now with her relationship.
Why?
"It was strange to be part of a public couple," she said of her relationships with Brad and Ben.

Now, Gwyneth, 38, and Chris, 33, keep their relationship private and are hardly ever photographed together.
While Gwyneth prefers to keep that part of her life secret, she also told E! that she tried to keep her struggles with post-partum depression after her son Moses' birth hidden.
"You don't want anybody to know that you're depressed or crying all the time, " she explained. "There's this shame that we bring to it and it's incredibly debilitating and scary and you just don't feel like yourself."
