Hilary Duff Adds Two More to Her Resume: Author & Tweeter
Oct. 12 2010, Published 8:34 a.m. ET
Actress turned singer turned author Hilary Duff signed copies of her first book Elixir at Borders on Monday in NYC. Hil has sure come a long way since her days of hanging out at the Digital Bean, but it seems as though her fans are more than willing to follow her into this latest literary venture. Fans crowded around the newlywed starlet (who married Mike Comrie over the summer) as Hilary smiled and signed books.
Monday marked another first for Hilary. In addition to it being her first book signing, the young starlet also posted her very first TwitPic, an adorable shot of her and her fans with the caption: "thanks everyone for coming out and supporting me!! couldn't of asked for a better crowd!! xxo."

Hil had just joined Twitter earlier this month and the social networking site will probably be a great way for her to keep in touch with her fans while out on the road promoting Elixir.

Elixir is only the first in Hil's multiple-book young adult series which combines everything crucial to a hit YA novel: a suspicious disappearance of a loved one, a dramatic love triangle, the supernatural, names like Clea, Rayna and Sage, and a powerful secret which will determine the fate and future of the main characters.

Sounds juicy! It seems as though Hilary Duff has proved that she is not "So Yesterday" (contrary to what starring in an ABC Family original movie usually implies) and that this starlet is still a force to be reckoned with.
