It was all over Big Barry, the former karaoke singer who Howie has cheered on but who Howard isn't exactly a fan of. During the quarterfinals, Howie essentially called the performer one of the most "memorable" contestants on the entire show. Pointing out that he isn't the best singer, he said he is "an incredible novelty act."

To that point, Howard chimed in and said it was time to "stop the Howie filibuster."
As cameras rolled right into a commercial break, their war of words didn't stop there. They were clearly in a heated argument and even got into each other's faces!
Even after the show returned from commercials, yep — they were still going head to head. Howard told Howie, "When I took the job, I took it seriously. If you're serious, you don't do that."
