"What does a home mean to you?" Charlie asked George on CBS News. "You have two magnificent homes."

"Well," George replied, "there's a big difference between a house and a home, I think. A house is a place that you would live in, but a home is a place where your family and friends are part of. And I think that's one of the wonderful things about where I've been for so long. I've been here for, you know, almost 20 years...and it's filled with good friends and good family members. And it's always...it's a place where I have a basketball court and people come and play basketball. And it's just a fun place to be."

OK! NEWS: GEORGE CLOONEY MAKES FUN OF BUDDY BRAD PITT ON STAGE THE GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS

And one member of George's family loves it just as much as the actor: his dog, Einstein.

"I was given the dog from a lovely shelter, but they'd gotten it from a place where they, you know, they take 'em out," he said. "So, it was really — he's a fun dog.

"Rescue dogs always seem to be more appreciative. I would be if they'd taken me off death row," George explained. "Even the shelter that had him, the really wonderful people that were taking care of him, said, 'We have to make sure you love the dog and the dog loves you.' And so I rubbed meatballs on my shoes, and the the dog came in and threw himself at me.

I find that works also with some actors; you can do that to as well."

Wonder if that's how he became such good friends with Brad Pitt?
