All eyes were on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes at the June 17 world premiere of Tom’s latest movie, Knight and Day — but the world-famous couple only had eyes for each other. And according to their friends, it’s Tom and Katie’s recent decision to have another baby that has them (after almost four years of marriage) acting like newlyweds again.
“They look as wildly in love as the very first days,” a source close to the couple tells OK!. “Having a baby has connected them to something much bigger than money or fame or movies... It has added this passionate, erotic element to their marriage.”

To prepare for her pregnancy, Katie has been spending time at the Hollywood Scientology Center. In March, she came in for four hours, reportedly to undergo the intense Scientology “auditing” or spiritual counseling. She did the same thing shortly before getting pregnant with Suri (Scientologists believe the “health and the sanity of the child begins long before birth,” and require such meetings when a couple is trying to conceive). Plus, according to a friend, “Katie’s made a point to get more sleep. Usually she’s so busy, she doesn’t get enough, and she feels guilty if she oversleeps, but this is giving her the perfect excuse.”
OK!'S MOVIE REVIEW: KNIGHT & DAY
One reason that Tom and Katie have agreed that it’s better to have a baby sooner rather than later is so that Suri, now 4, and her sibling aren’t too far apart in age. Their deadline? They want to conceive before the end of the year.
Says the pal, “They’re both so excited because they know this is the greatest gift of all to Suri.”

Doting mom Katie simply can’t say no to little Suri — who is begging for a baby brother or sister.
“All of her friends have brothers and sisters, and she wants a playmate,” says a family friend. “It’s cute because she thinks Tom and Katie can choose the sex of the baby. So one day it’s, ‘Can you make me a brother?’ Then the next day she’ll say, ‘I want a baby sister!’
Tom always says, ‘We’ll see what we can do.’ ”
