Jade Goody‘s widower Jack Tweed, 22, has been arrested in London after a woman in her late teens accused him of sexual assault, Britain’s Sky News reports.
Jack was detained by the Met Police, along with another man in his 20s.
A spokesman for the Met Police said: “A female in her late teens has made an allegation of sexual assault.”
The alleged incident is believed to have occurred in the Redbridge area of London this morning.
Jack’s spokesman didn’t comment on the arrest but confirmed that a lawyer had been hired to represent his client.
Jack and Jade married weeks before her death in March, and he’s said he hasn’t dealt well with losing his wife.
“I don’t really know how I’m bearing up at the moment. I’m drinking quite a lot, which I shouldn’t be,” Sky News cites him as saying last month.
“I shouldn’t be saying it but I don’t want to lie to anyone and I am drinking quite a lot and I’ve got to go and see someone or I’ve got to stop.”
