NEWSJack White Talks About The Making of His Grammy-Nominated Album

Jack White confesses that Blunderbuss, his solo album nominated for Album of the Year at this year's Grammy Awards, was kind of an accident.
"I just found myself in the middle of it," he told Ryan Seacrest. "I usually write for a specific idea, and this time I found myself writing and I didn't know what it was for. I'd never done a record of my own and I finally said, 'Do it, it's about time."

Jack famously decided to tour with two bands—an all-female and all-male—to keep him on his toes.

"It provokes people to challenge their own stereotypes," he said. "We challenge ourselves every night."
