Jamie Lynn Spears has been living a private life for nearly a decade and now she’s back in the spotlight for a one-hour special on TLC!
Britney’s little sister, now 25, put a halt on her career when she found out she was pregnant at 16 years old — which she exclusively revealed on the cover of OK! Magazine in 2007! But now that her daughter Maddie is 7 years old, Spears is ready to pick up where she left off!
In a clip for her return to TV, Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out, the former Nickelodeon star opened up about how much she’s transcended over the years.
"I'm not just a child star. I'm not just someone's sister. And I'm not just a teen mom,” she said. "I wanna do something that I'm gonna be proud of.”
However, her family wasn’t exactly proud of her when she first announced her pregnancy since she was so young. “Jamie Lynn was, uh, she was bad,” her dad Jamie Spears told the camera.

The Louisiana native has been writing and working on music and, with a cameo from her big sister Britney Spears, takes the stage at the Grand Ole Opry, the biggest stage in country music!
The one-hour special, Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out, premieres on Sunday, June 26 at 10/9c on TLC. Watch the clip below before it airs!
