Jane spoke of Cory's "warm and charm." "Cory was a beautiful soul," the actress said. She didn't shy away from mentioning his addiction. "Tonight we remember Cory for all he was," skeletons and all.

"Please know this gifted and wonderful young man was worthy of your love," Jane said, speaking especially to the young fans of Glee who are likely having a hard time processing the news of his heroin overdose. The tribute was simple, loving, and short, ending simply on "Cory Monteith 1982-2013."
