Jeff Buckley Biopic to Be Directed by Kristen Stewart's Former 'Rileys' Director Jake Scott

Jake Scott is set to direct a biopic about Jeff Buckley, the late, great musician who died tragically at the age of 30. Could this mean good news for Robert Pattinson to star as Jeff?

Jake will direct a script by Ryan Jaffe, Michelle Sy and Orian Williams are producing the film and Jeff's mother, Mary Guibert will be executive producer, Deadline reports.
Jeff died tragically died in 1997 when he jumped fully clothed iton Tennesse's Wold River for a swim and drowned after being caught in the wake of a passing boat.
Before his death, Jeff was best known for his hit album, Grace.

Robert Pattinson has been rumored to be lobbying for the role of Jeff and now that Jake is directing maybe Kristen Stewart can put in a good word for him!

Jake was the director of Kristen's film, Welcome to the Rileys, and they seemed to get along great! At a screening of the film at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in NYC on Oct. 18, 2010, Kristen and Jake looked like good friends.
