Jennifer Aniston Chose 'The Breakup' Role for Being "Slightly Familiar On the Topic"

Jennifer Aniston's film with Vince Vaughn, The Breakup, was one of her first biggest hits on the big screen. And she may have Brad Pitt to thank for being offered the part.

Jennifer paid a visit to Inside the Actors Studio and covered everything from her time spent on Friends to how her personal life helped with with her performance in The Breakup.

"It was just a beautiful story about a couple breaking up. And I was slightly familiar on the topic and the issue," Jennifer jokes on the Bravo show (via Huffington Post). "And I sort of honestly felt like, what a great way to sort of exercise some of that."

And despite other people worrying about how she would handle playing a role that hit close to home, Jen loved the experience.

"I enjoyed it. It really enjoyed it," she says. "You would think otherwise, because even the producers were like, 'I don't know if we should ask you to do this,' but I was like, why not? Turn the page, let's move on."
