Jenny McCarthy treats eleven-year-old son Evan to a night out at the circus this week, but it’s a bigger deal than one might think.
“I pulled him out of school in Chicago, because I knew that he would love it, and I was right,” The View co-host, 41, tells me this week during Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Present Legends held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

“He’s so happy,” she says of the boy she shares with director ex John Asher. “I can’t wait for him to move to New York. He’s still in Chicago finishing up school, so I’ve been half the person I usually am because I don’t have my son here. Once he moves here officially in May, sighs New York will have the best of me.”

Not only did Jenny fly Evan out to get the VIP treatment, but he also got to bring Jenny’s dad, Dan McCarthy, his grandpa, along for the adventure. Plus, he got his face painted like a tiger!
“He’s having the best time of his life,” Jenny shares. “He’s a big animal lover. He was completely blown away. He said ‘this is the best night of my life.’ We got two seats on the elephant, and just to see the joy on his face makes me feel like a proud mom.”
According to Jenny, boyfriend Donnie Wahlberg, 44, is a dream around Evan.
“I have no complaints. He’s amazing!”
