Although American Idol's Top 12 haven't even performed yet this week, 25-year-old contestant Jermaine Jones has been ousted.

The "gentle giant" Tweeted he's leaving the show. "Awww I will no longer b on the show." The post and his official Idol Twitter account ended up getting deleted. Fox has not commented.

You may recall that Jermaine returned to the show after judges granted him a last-minute spot with the 11th season's top 13 male semifinalists. Jermaine reached the bottom three last week after he crooned "Knocks Me Off My Feet" by Stevie Wonder.
