In an announcement sure to bring a smile to our soldiers in the Middle East pop star posted a message on her site on Wednesday announcing that she's "heading to Kuwait to do a show for the troops for Operation MySpace."
The concert, which will also feature rock bands Disturbed and Filter and comedian Carlos Mencia, will be broadcast live over the internet on MySpace.com on March 10.

In addition to this trip to the Persian Gulf, Jessica also makes mention on her site that she's "hard at work on my country record, and I can't wait to share it with all of you."
Coincidentally, in Jess' upcoming film Major Movie Star, which hopefully won't fall into the same straight-to-video trap as her last project, is about a ditzy actress who ends up in the military. Let's just hope Jess sticks to singing for the troops and doesn't become one of them.
