Last year, Glee's Jane Lynch hosted the Emmy Awards, and this year it looks like another TV star will take the stage. It's none other than late-night comic Jimmy Kimmel!

Jimmy will host The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards when ABC airs the show on Sept. 23.

It's the first time he'll host the Emmys, but awards shows are nothing new to the funnyman, who has already hosted the American Music Awards and the ESPY Awards. Jimmy's also set to host the White House Correspondents' dinner next month.

According to Entertainment Weekly, he quipped, "I hope to be able to do for the Emmys this year what Eddie Murphy did for the Oscars."
